A WSU baseball alum, Bruce Haertl is a 40 year veteran of TV and Radio in the Wichita market.  He started at KFH Radio in 1979, becoming Sports Director there a year later.  Over the next three years at KFH, he was also the Voice of the Wichita Wings.

In 1984, he moved to television--becoming Sports Director at KWCH TV.  In September of 2000, he helped launch Sports Daily, which he co-hosts to this day.

After leaving KWCH in December of 2012, Haertl embarked on a freelance career in play by play.  Over the next 3 1/2 years he continued his 15 season run as the TV voice of Wichita State basketball and baseball and worked various sports for Sooner Sports Television at the University of Oklahoma, the Missouri Valley Conference, the University of Arkansas, Oral Roberts University as well as basketball events for ESPN and Fox.

In May of 2016, Haertl accepted a move to Denver where he anchors and reports for Fox (KDVR). His day to day responsibilities include coverage of the NFL, MLB and NBA.

His wife, Sarah, somehow continues to put up with him-- they have four children--Bo, Evie, Jake and Kate.

Shane Dennis pitched for the Shockers from 1991-1994 and earned All America honors in ’94. He went on to a professional baseball career spanning six years. In 1996, he was the San Diego Padres Minor League Pitcher of the Year. He once faced Edgar Martinez in spring training and faced Japanese legend Ichiro Suzuki multiple times in 1998 in Japan.  In 2004, he was inducted into the Wichita State sports Hall of Fame.

Prior to joining Sports Radio KFH as co-host of Sports Daily, Shane was the Director of Operations for the Shocker baseball program for 13 years. He also has done play-by-play on radio and television for multiple Shocker sports and continues those duties currently. Following his stint at WSU, Shane had his own sports talk show for nearly two years (Shane Dennis Show) during afternoon drive time on KFH.

Shane’s hobbies include golf and watching sports, of course.
