Wichita State’s Women's Basketball full 2019-20 schedule has been announced along with times and television information for all 16 American Athletic Conference matchups.

Wichita State will make four appearances on ESPN3, three on the American Digital Network and its battle at UCF in the final regular season game will be a national television broadcast on CBS Sports Network.

The Shockers open conference play at UConn in what will be the final matchup between the two programs as members of the American Athletic Conference. The Huskies announced earlier this summer they will be moving back to the Big East Conference, starting in the 2020-21 season.

The matchup with the perennial Final Four contenders will be the program’s first trip to Storrs and Gampel Pavilion. WSU and UConn met two years ago in Hartford at the XL Center.

Sunday, Jan. 5 will mark Wichita State’s conference home opener when the Tulane Green Wave come to town. WSU is 3-0 vs. Tulane since joining the American Athletic Conference.

Wichita State will have three straight home games in the middle of January when Tulsa, Temple and USF come to the Roundhouse, and will only have back-to-back road contests once.

Cincinnati makes its return to Wichita in the Shockers’ home finale on Feb. 29 for Senior Day. The regular season finale sees WSU travel to Orlando to face the UCF Knights on March 2 before the American Athletic Conference Championship tips off in Uncasville, Conn., March 6-9.

A more-experienced lineup is poised to take a step forward in 2019-20. Third-year head coach Keitha Adams has three starters and nine total letter-winners back from last year's roster that ranked as the nation's fifth-youngest. Last year's starting point guard, Seraphine Bastin, and American Athletic Conference All-Freshman honoree Carla Bremaud anchor a strong backcourt, and the senior trio of Raven Prince, Ashley Reid and Maya Brewer provide veteran leadership. WSU hosts Missouri Southern State for an exhibition tune-up on Monday, Nov. 4 then opens the regular season at home on Saturday, Nov. 9 against former MVC rival Northern Iowa.

Away games can be heard on KFH Radio.
