Shockers hold on to survive the Green Wave

Samajae Haynes-Jones led a quartet of Shockers in double figures as WSU held off the Tulane Green Wave 82-79 at Devlin Filedhouse in the Big Easy.

Haynes-Jones scored a team high 15 points while Markis McDuffie added 14, Jaime Echenique 13, and Jamarius Burton added 11.

The Shockers had no answer for Caleb Daniels who poured in 36 along with seven rebounds for the Tulane Green Wave.

The Victory was the Shockers 4th in a row as they finish in sixth palce in the American Athletic Conference and head to Memphis Tennessee for the conference championship series starting Thursday.
