Shockers defeat Catawba in exhibition play 75-64

Shocker Samajae Haynes-Jones led all scorers with 19 points and five rebounds, and Jamarius Burton added 16 points and another 5 rebounds and the WSU men's basketball team defeated Catawba 75 to 64 in their sole exhibition game this season.  Senior forward Markis McDuffie was fairly quiet in the first half but added 12 points in the second half.  

The Shockers came out cold missing 10 of their first 11 field goal attempts.  WSU collected its 25th consecutive exhibition win. The Shockers are 14-0 in exhibition matchups under head coach Gregg Marshall. 

WSU opens the regular season next Tuesday, Nov. 6 against Louisiana Tech.
