After the Celtics announced one player on the team had tested positive for COVID-19, Marcus Smart revealed on Twitter he was the individual.

In their statement, the Celtics also noted, “Testing was initiated because of exposure to a known positive case.” The team added it is awaiting further testing results.

In addition to Smart, Rudy Gobert, Donovan Mitchell, Christian Wood, two Lakers players and four Nets players, including Kevin Durant, have tested positive for COVID-19. A member of the Nuggets has tested positive, as well, but the team did not disclose if the individual was a player or someone with a different role in the organization.
