Tyreek Hill will remain a part of the Kansas City Chiefs’ foreseeable future.

The team and star wide receiver agreed to a three-year, $54 million contract extension on Friday, which includes $35 million in guarantees, per multiple reports.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported that the two sides were working on an extension during an appearance on 610 Kansas City Sports’ “The Drive” Thursday evening.

The deal averages out to $18 million per year, which ties Hill with Odell Beckham Jr. has the second-highest paid receiver in the NFL.

The extension comes after a tumultuous offseason for the 25-year-old, in which the league investigated Hill for an alleged domestic violence incident involving his 3-year-old son. The league ultimately concluded that Hill did not violate the league’s personal conduct policy, although the Chiefs said they were “deeply disturbed” from a leaked audio from his fiancée, Crystal Espinal, discussing the alleged abuse.
