In NBA basketball, the Toronto Raptors finished their regular season with a 120-100 win at the Minnesota Timberwolves. In the starting lineup for the Raptors was former Wichita State point guard Fred VanVleet, who had 16 points and four assists. VanVleet is averaging 16 points per game in his last six starts. Toronto (58-24) has the second-best record in the NBA.

The Charlotte Hornets stayed alive for a playoff spot, with a 124-97 win at the Cleveland Cavaliers. Devonte' Graham, rookie from KU, came off the Charlotte bench for 10 points and five assists. The Hornets have won four games in a row, but are still one game behind the Detroit Pistons for the final playoff spot with one game to go in the regular season. Charlotte hosts the playoff-bound Orlando Magic on Wednesday night in the regular-season finale, while the Pistons visit the worst team in the league, the New York Knicks.

The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the visiting Houston Rockets 112-111. Former Kansas Jayhawk Markieff Morris came off the bench for OKC with seven rebounds and five points. The Thunder has a four-game winning streak, currently in the No. 6 spot in Western Conference with one game remaining in the regular season.
