In Game One of the best-of-seven NBA finals, the Toronto Raptors defeated the visiting Golden State Warriors 118-109.

Coming off the bench for Toronto as the "6th man" was former Wichita State poing guard Fred VanVleet. Playing in his first finals game, VanVleet was 4-for-4 from two-point range, on his way to 15 points.

VanVleet was the first former WSU player to appear in the NBA finals in 21 years, since Antoine Carr with the Utah Jazz faced the Chicago Bulls in 1998.

Game Two between the Raptors and the defending-champion Warriors will be Sunday evening in Toronto; the Raptors are a 1.5-point favorite at home.

Live coverage of Game Two begins at 6:00 p.m. Sunday on Sports Radio KFH 1240AM  97.5FM.
