10 years ago on this day (2009): the last win for the Kansas football team under head coach Mark Mangino. On that day, 16th-ranked Kansas defeated Iowa State 41-39 in Lawrence. That put KU 5-0 on the season, and it would mark the end of a three-season run that saw the Jayhawks win 28 of 35 games (.800 winning percentage), including a victory in the Orange Bowl, and finishing ranked #7 in the nation in 2007.

However, after that day 10 years ago, KU would lose its last seven games, after which coach Mangino parted ways with KU. In the decade since that win over the Cyclones in 2009, KU has a record of 20-101 (.165 winning percentage).
